On the heels of a much-deserved honor of “Best Local Festival of 2017” via the Tucson Weekly staff, the annual Tucson Hip Hop Festival (THHF) returns this year on Saturday, February 24th with Houston legend headliner Bun B! Expected to double in attendance and size, on the block of 191 E. Toole, a Rialto Theatre venue, the local Tucson Hip Hop community will be showcased alongside regional and national artists, performers, influencers, and educators. Uplifting and celebrating the culture of Hip Hop, the THHF offers festival-goers the opportunity to enjoy live graffiti painting, diverse rap performances, deejay performances, cyphers, beat-makers, breakers, and rap battles. Aside from representing those elements of Hip Hop culture, there will also be pop-up shops, informative panel discussions, workshops, a food court, studio time, and more! Expecting to positively impact 3k attendees, the THHF is also driven to impact local Tucson businesses and the local economy via creative partnerships and collaborations; some of which include the University of Arizona’s College of Humanities (the platinum supporter), REP T.U.C., Tucson Foodie, KXCI, and the Loft Cinema.
You can purchase your ticket now online here or at the Rialto Theatre box office.
